What is Healthcare for Hair?

What is Healthcare for Hair?

You may have seen this caption on our product labels. But what does it really mean?

Our registered strapline embodies the ethos born out of 43 years of salon haircare. I know that condition is a prerequisite for great looking hair. But not just for the look and feel. Healthy hair is much easier to style and the styles hold much longer. Neglected dry and damaged hair narrows down the style and colour choices and takes much more effort for less result, as well as not looking as vibrant and alive as it could and should. And as much as our team love doing all sorts of interesting things with hair, the health costs are always forefront of our minds and this shapes our styling and colouring techniques as well as product design.

Every product in our 3’’’More Inches range is created to deliver the best results whilst respecting and improving hair health. But of course, that’s obvious you’ll say, yet sadly that’s not the case for 95% of hair products out there which are designed to give you all the bang today without any care for your hair health tomorrow. Many of these products are harsh and age the hair quicker, leaving it thin, dry and harder to manage.

The fact is, your hair is slowly wasting away. As fresh hair grows from the scalp it’s at its fulsome, supple best. Each time you wash it and heat style it, use harsh products, colour it, go out in daylight, swim in the sea or pool, the hair is depleted a little more. LifeSaver protects your hair so you can have more fun with it.

But only putting LifeSaver on once a month, will make the hair lovely for a week, but 2 to 3 washes will take it out, and then the bare vulnerable hair is once again exposed to the ageing and shrinking of modern living.

Regular use of LifeSaver Prewash Treatment holds the hair structure together, slowing down the rate of shrinking and ageing. It’s why LifeSaver needs the habit of a regular system. For some this is in the morning before going for a salon blowdry, or before exercise. For others it’s a few hours before bedtime – it works brilliantly overnight.

Great hair does take a little effort behind the scenes and we’ve designed LifeSaver Prewash to be the easiest treatment to apply to dry hair. Mine takes 20 seconds. For long hair it may take a minute. It really is that simple. Check out the reviews.

I love long hair. But sometimes you can have too much of a good thing, and if it’s not cut properly it can drown the wearer and make shampoo-days a dreaded event. Tara had gorgeous hair but the haircut had no shape. Just the usual...

I don’t normally start by showing the back. But the breakage and damage was so bad that the entire top portion at the back had snapped off. Kazz had been paying a lot for hair colouring and for regular Olaplex treatments over the years. Yet her extremely damaged hair quality was something I regularly see. Unnecessarily weak thin broken hair, and dull colour.

How many Bobs have you got?

These quick clunky haircuts are becoming prolific as hairdressers become less and less able to layer hair properly. Emily had the very common 3-step Bob. The baseline, a step four inches off the bottom, and a sort of torn irregular piece suggestive of a long
