Ready to Wear

Sassi Holford, is one of Britain’s most established dress designers who has been celebrated for her couture bridal designs and red-carpet creations for over 40 years. This week saw the launch of the Sassi Holford Ready-to-Wear collection.

Beautifully cut, ageless pieces featuring trans-seasonal dresses, tailoring and separates.  The launch collection colour base is neutral with highlights of flame, aubergine and indigo blue.

Our senior stylist Tasilia Varda styled the hair for the collection shoot using our 3’’’More Inches products.  Tasilia created a ‘Summer Breeze’ look and kept the hair fresh and elegant with a natural feel, using the full range of styling products and minimal heat.

Sassi Holford comments,
‘Inspired by the confidence I see my evening and couture bridal dresses give to women, I have launched my own ready-to-wear. My hope is that every piece will make a woman’s wardrobe work for them and effortlessly take them from coffee to cocktails. I have designed timeless pieces that will define their style and can transcend through every generation. My fashion-savvy daughter is my toughest critic. If she picks up one of my pieces, I know I’ve created something special. She’ll often style it in a way I would never have thought of.’

We’ve worked closely with Sassi Holford on the bridal circuit for many years. These Designer Wedding Show pictures below date back to 2007.

My youngest daughter Alexia loved striding the catwalk with Sassi’s daughter Missy. She loved the catwalk with her older sister Tatjana as well, and, well she just loved the catwalk. Tatjana too, but she realised a model’s life is a lot of hanging around backstage.

I love long hair. But sometimes you can have too much of a good thing, and if it’s not cut properly it can drown the wearer and make shampoo-days a dreaded event. Tara had gorgeous hair but the haircut had no shape. Just the usual...

I don’t normally start by showing the back. But the breakage and damage was so bad that the entire top portion at the back had snapped off. Kazz had been paying a lot for hair colouring and for regular Olaplex treatments over the years. Yet her extremely damaged hair quality was something I regularly see. Unnecessarily weak thin broken hair, and dull colour.

How many Bobs have you got?

These quick clunky haircuts are becoming prolific as hairdressers become less and less able to layer hair properly. Emily had the very common 3-step Bob. The baseline, a step four inches off the bottom, and a sort of torn irregular piece suggestive of a long
