How to Have Thicker Hair - Part 2

Following on from last week’s, How to Get Thicker Hair Part 1. I didn’t want to exclude people who struggle with a bush and think these tips are only for people with fine hair. If you have thicker unruly hair all the tips will help you too because healthy hair is softer, vibrant and more manageable.

So this is for everyone - if you have the best quality hair leaving the scalp and preserve that as it grows down, everything about haircare gets easier and you can do much more with it.

Nutrients In - Toxins Out

This pretty much sums up the route to cellular health on which our total wellbeing depends, whether those nutrients and toxins are physical or energetic. How effectively we feed and cleanse our system is a basis of vitality and anti-ageing.

And so with hair we can affect the quality of new growth at the scalp by encouraging the supply of nutrients to the roots and eliminating toxins as efficiently as possible.

Nutrients In
Blood supply brings nutrients and oxygen. General health, exercise, diet, positive energy and scalp massage all help.

Toxins Out
Blood supply takes away the toxins of cellular metabolic waste, and others are excreted through the scalp in perspiration. The build up of toxins, exacerbated by excessive lifestyles and negative stress, can lead to inflammation. Pollution, excess sebum, detritus, toxic chemicals from harsh products like plasticisers and silicones can build up and clog the follicles leading to weaker hair growth.

Cleansing - Keeping the scalp clean and clear is helped with regular exfoliation.

Nutrients
These supplements are designed help promote general wellbeing, with a bias towards healthy hair and nails. Using the most bioavailable versions of each ingredient maximises the value of each capsule.

Regulating Excess Sebum - Balancing Scalp Shampoo uses orange oil and sulphur to help oily scalps.

Hair health starts with scalp health and giving time to scalp care leads to better quality hair growth.

I don’t normally start by showing the back. But the breakage and damage was so bad that the entire top portion at the back had snapped off. Kazz had been paying a lot for hair colouring and for regular Olaplex treatments over the years. Yet her extremely damaged hair quality was something I regularly see. Unnecessarily weak thin broken hair, and dull colour.

How many Bobs have you got?

These quick clunky haircuts are becoming prolific as hairdressers become less and less able to layer hair properly. Emily had the very common 3-step Bob. The baseline, a step four inches off the bottom, and a sort of torn irregular piece suggestive of a long
